SPIRIT DSP Receives 2011 Unified Communications Product of the Year Award from INTERNET TELEPHONY

MOSCOW, Russia – March 13, 2012SPIRIT DSP, the world’s top voice and video over IP engines provider, announced today that TMC, a global, integrated media company, has named VideoMost.com, SPIRIT’s web-based video conferencing software, as a recipient of its 2011 Unified Communications Product of the Year Award, sponsored by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.

“We are extremely pleased that INTERNET TELEPHONY has once again recognized VideoMost.com for its ground-breaking ability to enable telcos to quickly offer new and highly demanded Telco-OTT services, like video conferencing, to their subscribers,” said Alex Kravchenko, SPIRIT’s VP Sales. “VideoMost.com lets service providers generate new revenue, lower operating costs, reduce churn and increase customer satisfaction of their own-branded service offerings, while competing effectively against Skype and Google – who’s products were not built for secure, administrated multi-point corporate video conferencing.”

VideoMost.com is a massively multipoint, web-based videoconferencing software product targeted for licensing to telecom carriers and service/SaaS providers as a white-labeled branded service for their enterprise customers who demand reliable and secure video communication, complete with data logging, presence, meeting moderation and documents sharing. VideoMost.com is based on SPIRIT DSP’s video engine for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS clients and Windows or Linux-based video conferencing servers. The software embraces  a highly scalable H.264SVC video codec and SPIRIT’s IP-MRTM wideband voice codec (IETF RFC 6262), enabling HD voice and multi-party video calling. The multipoint video software works on connections from 512 Kbps, providing up to 30 fps HD 720p and supporting an unprecedented 1000 concurrent video channels per single $4,000 PC server. VideoMost.com requires a standard internet connection, a microphone, speakers and a webcam. It allows participants to start a videoconference instantly on their PCs and iPads, even on wireless connections, unlike hardware systems that require specially equipped meeting rooms. SPIRIT software automatically adapts video quality to bandwidth and processor power available and also includes desktop sharing, conference moderation, messaging, presence and more functions.

“The editors from INTERNET TELEPHONY are pleased to grant a Unified Communications Product of the Year Award to SPIRIT DSP for VideoMost.com,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “SPIRIT DSP has proven they are committed to quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace. We look forward to seeing continued advancement in technology solutions from SPIRIT DSP in the future.”
