SPIRIT DSP Reports Record Sales and Growth for First Half of 2012
SPIRIT DSP, #1 voice and VVoIP engine provider, has announced 80 percent sales revenue growth for the first half of 2012, as compared to the same time period last year. Attributing to this growth, is the mainstream proliferation of mobile VoIP and videoconferencing software products. Another contributing factor is the widespread adoption and enabling of cross-platformproducts made available to its customer base.”Cross-platform IP communications is being recognized one of the fastest growing markets worldwide, driven by the growing demand from consumers and businesses to use inexpensive, and sometimes free, mobile VoIP calling services, and the convenience and time-saving benefits that come from PC videoconferencing. Today, the calling experience ― even over unmanaged networks like Wi-Fi and 3G ― is as good or better than old, traditional PSTN and mobile calling,” said SPIRIT’s Chairman Andrew Sviridenko. “As an enabling VVoIP technology provider, SPIRIT has a unique glimpse into the future of this rapid-paced market and we’re seeing our customers planning fast-track roadmaps to deliver on the promise of ‘anytime, anywhere’ quality video calling in an effort to reduce churn to OTT providers, protect their brands and increase customer satisfaction of these value-added service offerings.”
SPIRIT customers that contributed to the growth in revenue includ AT&T, China Mobile, Kazakhtelecom, KT, LG U+, Rostelecom, Polycom, Samsung, and others. SPIRIT’s flagship Teamspirit Engines has been well-received as well, powering more than 1 billion users worldwide using all kinds of devices, including iOS and Android smartphones, along with tablets and PCs. Sviridenko added, “”Our first half of 2012 sales revenue represents a clear signal and validation that quality, cross-platform VVoIP communications is now a ‘must-have’ service offering by all major service providers.”
