China Telecom’s R&D Center Chooses SPIRIT’s Audio Processing Technology
To Provide Rich Multimedia Internet Experience for Mobile Users in a Pilot Project
MOSCOW, Russia, GUANGZHOU, China – August 3, 2009 – SPIRIT DSP, the world’s leading provider of carrier-grade voice, video and audio communication software engines, announced today that China Telecom Corporation Limited Guangzhou Research Institute has selected SPIRIT’s audio processing technology for its newly researched mobile multimedia pilot project.
Guangzhou Research Institute, a key R&D centre owned by China Telecom, the world’s largest wireline telecommunications and broadband services provider, has selected SPIRIT’s software as a solution for voice processing. SPIRIT’s feature-rich audio processing will contribute with high-quality sound and voice to the oncoming applications, intended to offer both mass market users and enterprise customers rich mobile multimedia Internet experience on cell phones over CDMA EV-DO network.
