SPIRIT DSP sets a world record with its new 1000-channel Videoconferencing server software
MOSCOW, Russia – June 1, 2010 – SPIRIT, the world’s top provider of carrier-grade best-in-class voice and video communication software platform, has announced the release of the new version of its massively multi-point video server software – TeamSpirit VideoConferencing Server 3.2. The new SPIRIT video server software has an unprecedented level of video scalability, supporting up to a 1,000 concurrent video channels on a standard $3,000 PC hardware.
TeamSpirit® VideoConferencing Server 3.2 is a turn-key media processing software platform. It ensures crystal clear massively multi-point video communication, ultra high performance and at least 10 times lower hardware infrastructure costs in comparison with any hardware-based video-conferencing system. New SPIRIT video server software relies on the most advanced video coding technology – H.264 SVC – and SPIRIT’s proprietary video and voice quality control algorithms. TeamSpirit® VideoConferencing Server 3.2 delivers high quality video and wideband (HD) audio to all endpoints. It constantly monitors all the channels and automatically, on-the-fly, adapts each incoming and outgoing video stream to currently available bandwidth and processing power for each particular user.
“SPIRIT’s new product opens doors for ubiquitous massively multi-point videoconferencing for everyone. Service providers, application developers, communication portals, social networks, MMO games, and telcos may use our video server software to dramatically cut their video infrastructure costs while offering HD quality videoconferencing services to millions of users.” said Andrew Sviridenko SPIRIT DSP Chairman, “We also support the breadth of user terminals, including Windows , Mac, Android, and iPhone, as well as other mobile devices and standard video terminals that can all sit in on a same SPIRIT-powered video call. Additionally, each user gets adaptive scalable video quality that its hardware and network can process right now.”
TeamSpirit® VideoConferencing Server 3.2 is the only video server software on the market with such a level of performance, quality and flexibility. It may be licensed as an embedded platform or as a complete videoconferencing product with extended functionality such as firewall / NAT traversal, desktop sharing, presence, XMPP instant messaging, white boards, conference management and scheduling portal, etc. TeamSpirit® VideoConferencing Server 3.2 also integrates with Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight.
