Service Providers Can Now Benefit From IMS-ready Embedded Voice and Video over IP

Fall VON, Boston – October 31, 2007 – SPIRIT DSP, the world’s leading provider of voice and video software engines, announced today that Veraz Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:VRAZ), a leading global provider of IMS IP softswitch and media gateway solutions, has licensed SPIRIT’s TeamSpirit® 3.0 Voice&Video Engine PC to offer the highest quality voice and video over IP (V2oIP) solution to wireline, broadband and wireless service providers.

More than 45 wireless, wireline and broadband service providers across 50 countries have deployed Veraz’s IP softswitches and media gateways to transport, convert and manage voice and multimedia traffic over both legacy and IP networks. By licensing SPIRIT’s IMS-ready TeamSpirit® 3.0 Voice&Video Engine PC, Veraz’s customers can immediately offer their subscribers an easy and cost-effective PC-downloadable soft-client to enable a rich, seamless and smooth voice and video experience.

“Delivering premium voice and video over IP functionality is the key differentiation that SPIRIT’s voice and video engine brings to the Veraz IMS client. As a front end to the Veraz IMS core, the SPIRIT-enabled Veraz IMS client will allow our customers to quickly generate revenue from innovative multimedia services,” said Francesca Puggioni, Head Corporate Business Development, Veraz Networks. “In practical evaluations, SPIRIT technology has been thoroughly measured against the requirements of Veraz customers in a number of comparative tests. We are excited to partner with SPIRIT, a global leader and expert in voice & video engines, to provide our customers with a proven and unprecedented media quality in IMS services.”

“Veraz has tested different solutions as enablers for its multimedia services client. The market has become more demanding since the early Skype times. SPIRIT Voice&Video Engine is the unique offer that guarantees the highest quality of communication to the Veraz IMS platform. We are pleased with Veraz’s decision. Skype also has recently switched from using the older voice engine technology, following the market demand,” confirmed Alex Kravchenko, VP Sales of SPIRIT.

He continued, “Veraz is a market leader of innovative next generation IP network solutions that give wireless, broadband and wireline service providers a smooth migration of legacy networks to an all-IP IMS Next Generation Network. There is great synergy between our companies, as both continue to deliver innovations that enrich subscribers’ communication experience over a wide range of networks, such as 3G, WiFi and fixed line IP networks.”

TeamSpirit® 3.0 Voice&Video Engine PC is a complete, pre-integrated IMS-ready solution which encapsulates wideband voice and video processing to offer the smoothest video and voice integration experience for building a New Generation Network.
